1. Teaching
Philosophy
Prepare: Know your material well. Have a clear course outline and all power-point lectures printed and handed out the first day of class in a spiral bound notebook. Web courses are finished before the first day of class as well.
Minister: Know your students well. Take the class on at least one field trip/eating out or some other experience which adds to the informal aspect of the educational experience. Have a short visit with all the students in their homes during the term in order to get to know them better.
Resource: Give them something for the future. Make and give out a final CD with the power-point lectures, audio of the lectures, practical materials I have developed from my own pastoral ministry and the picture I took with their families when I visited them.

My strength in advising my students is giving them a good grasp of the overall picture and direction of their research. I help them to conceive the general outline of their chapters and major research materials. I am weak in managing the details of the project and administering the progress of their research.
